Lawrence D.
“Butch” Morris, a site specific long-form composition at the
International
Festival of Arts and Ideas, and a stream of new music at festivals and
venues
around New Haven. Bob produced
NHIC’s debut CD, Interference, recorded at
Firehouse12 and getting
nationwide
airplay and critical approval. Bob also
brings music to the local airwaves at 88.7FM and the wide world at www.wnhu.net. |

McGuire

playing reeds in jazz groups, djembe in percussion groups, and early
winds in
Renaissance and assorted folk styles. A
long standing member of the Creative Music Orchestra, the New Haven
Improvisers

Steve Zieminski |
Steve is an
amazing
drummer, colorist and composer active in progressive rock and jazz
circles and
a multi-percussionist. Currently in
several groups including Hot Jupiter, the Erasmus Quintet, Greylyng and
The Ed
Lawrence and Carl Peters Orchestra. Steve also studies with
tabla
maestro Kumar Das. |
Nate Trier

Keyboard
whiz, Euphonium
stalwart and music educator. Leads the ska
jazz group the Skamatix, composes soundtracks for film and video games,
and
chill beats as Nathan Green. Always
thinking,
writing, and talking about music on the web, twitter, and the radio.

Jeff Cedrone
|
Well versed
guitarist
/ composer brings a unique edge to anything he plays.
Founder of the art rock trio Greylyng and a
major contributor to the New Haven Improvisers Collective book.
Jeff also
records eclectic rock and experimental film scores as Blacklight on
Film. |
Carl Testa
|
A strong
young
composer and emerging voice on the bass, bass clarinet, and
electronics. Carl currently plays bass with Anthony Braxton in his
septet
and 12+1tet and is featured on three of his latest CD
releases. He
also runs the Uncertainty Music Series in New Haven. Carl's
debut CD
as a leader, the wonderful and intriguing Uncertainty, has gotten great
reviews. |
David Chevan
|
An active bassist and
composer, he
is involved in some of the most dynamic and musically exciting jazz
projects in Southern Connecticut
including the Afro-Semitic experience and the SCSU Creative Music
Orchestra. In
addition to his busy performance schedule, Chevan also holds a Ph.D. in
jazz
history and is a full-time professor of music at Southern Connecticut
State
